What is Bowel or Colon Cancer?

According to Mayo Clinic Colorectal Cancer is a growth of cells that forms in the lower end of the digestive tract. Most of these cancers start as noncancerous growths called polyps. Removing polyps can prevent cancer, so health care providers recommend screenings for those at high risk or over the age of 45.
